These terms cover the free checks on this site. LankaRank is run by Afdhel Munaj in Sri Lanka. By running a check, you agree to them.

What the free check is

An automatic check of a website's public pages, or of a public Google Maps listing, with plain-English advice. It's free and needs no account. We only read what anyone on the internet can see, and we never change anything on your website or profile.

Results are automatic

Our checker reads pages the way a program does, not the way a person does, so it can sometimes miss something or get it wrong. Treat every report as a guide, not a guarantee. No one can promise a place on Google, and following our advice won't guarantee more customers or a higher ranking.

LankaRank is independent. We're not part of, or approved by, Google, Meta, WhatsApp or any web host.

Using the fix guides

Our guides explain changes you or your web developer can make. Before changing your website, make a backup or ask your developer to. You're responsible for changes made to your own site and profile, and we're not responsible for problems caused by changes we didn't make.

Fair use

Please don't:

  • run checks automatically or in bulk (we limit how many checks one connection can run);
  • try to use our checker to reach private systems, overload a website, or get around our limits;
  • sell our reports, present them as your own work, or copy large parts of this site.

We may block connections that do.

Each report has its own link. Anyone with the link can open it, so share it with care. Reports are deleted after 12 months (see the privacy policy).

Prices on this site are in Sri Lankan rupees. Asking about a plan doesn't commit you to anything, and we never charge you without your clear agreement. Each paid plan comes with its own written terms (what's included, how to cancel) before you pay.

Our responsibility

The free check is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for lost business, lost profits or other indirect losses from using it. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Sri Lankan law that can't be removed.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Questions: contact@lankarank.lk.
